1870's STARS

The 1870's Stars set features 100 of the greatest players from 1870-1879. When stripped down you are left with the raw talent of an entire MLB decade. These players have emerged for a draft into your own league of competitive teams. Players chosen for this set were placed in their most productive or most played decade. Players picked are placed in the league that they played in most throughout their career. The players that were selected are at the position where they started the most career games.

1870's Stars set includes players from the NA from 1871-1875 and the sequential NL from 1876-1879. During the late 1900's when the pitchers were not scheduled to start they played other defensive positions. Pitching staffs of the 1870's teams were made complete by the hitters that pitched when they were needed. *We considered 1870's players pitchers if they pitched at least 25% of games started at their most played position. If you want more balanced and comprehensive player sets combine the Stars with the Commons.
